Hi, my name is lou7812! Husband now type 2 diabetic, scare to tell the DWP incase they stop his PIP.
My husband as type2 diabetes he found out in may last year and as been on new medication,I'm really scared about telling pip incase they stop his money. We have a mobility car as my husband as mobility issues he also as COPD and is on other new medication for that to. I don't want to get my husband in trouble by not telling them I look after him and do everything for him to please I just need some advice also we live in Scotland so he as just moved to social security Scotland

As you're living in Scotland it would now be Adult Disability Payment (ADP) that he's claiming, not PIP so he wouldn't need to contact PIP, it would be SSS he would contact.
Based on the information you gave with a medication change he doesn't need to report this.

Its a new diagnostic the diabetes is

It's not about a diagnosis. You should only report changes if it's possible to score more points for a higher award.

He as COPD,deaf and does wear hearing aids when they don't give him infection, diabetes type 2 anxiety and depression,a deformed spine and sleep apnea. It's the diabetes I'm worried about me not telling them

My husband is already on the high rate pip because of his mobility

What ADP award exactly does he have? If it's Enhanced for both parts then there's nothing to report because that's the highest award you can have.

The enhanced one because we have a car which we use to take him to hospital for his check ups

There's 2 parts to ADP and PIP, what award does he have for the daily living part?
To answer your question about not reporting changes for a diagnosis then no you will not get into trouble.

That's ok then it's just worrying when they say report changes it's not enough I have a form or book to look forward to next year to fill in

What award does he have for daily living?

He is on highest rate

Then there's nothing to report because he's already claiming the highest rate for both parts. Even if it's possible to score more points, he can't have a higher award than this.
