Going into a full time job with Limited Capacity for Work Related Activity
I have Limited Capacity for Work and Work Related Activities but have been offered a role which they are saying they would expect me to work 37 hours a week. I'm nervous about taking on more hours (currently doing 30 hours a week), but it is a very good opportunity. What would happen to my LCWRA if I took the position, what would I tell UC and would I be penalised if I need to cut my hours again and go back to working part time. The role I've been offered won't accept anything less than 37 hours a week.

Hi @TwitchAndMore. Congratulations on your offer of a new role! Is it with the same company or a new one? If it's with the same company, could you talk to them about maybe building up to the 37 hours gradually to help you adapt to the change? The most important thing is that you're happy and comfortable.
The LCWRA from what I can see there's no limit to the amount of hours a week you work however for UC I do believe this will likely be effected and you'll be expected to inform them of the change.
It sounds like a big decision, but you've got to do what you feel is best for you at the end of the day. 😊
Best wishes,
Holly.
