Mon-Fri Accessible Home Rental

After living with my parents for a while, I am finally in a place where I can rent a small one bed annexe. I have been on a housing list for a year and despite being in a wheelchair and having multiple disabilities, I am not a priority and expected to wait years while my health deteriorates due to lack of access to shower.
I have found this annexe locally and still need to meet the landlord and see the property but I want to check a few things before I proceed. I will be living in the property from Monday to Friday as stated on the tenancy agreement.
I will have to tell the DWP and local council about this but would this be considered my primary residence? I will be spending most of Friday and the weekends at my parent's house. I don't want my post going to the homeowner (the annexe is attached to their house which has separate access but one address) but I know that I need to alert the various agencies about my change of circumstances.
Has anyone had a similar situation or could advise please?

Hey @PotionsQueen The new place sounds exciting! It would count as your primary residence as it would be where you spend the majority of your time.
It's not a situation I've dealt with before, but hopefully some other community members will be able to help with some pearls of wisdom?
