PIP
hello guys I'm wondering if someone could help me, I applied for pip and got award standard living rate nearly 2 years ago, since then my condition has worsened I did a mandatory reconsideration for my mobility needs if I do get awarded will they backdate the mobility part from the very first time I applied or when I submitted my mandatory reconsideration.
Kind regards

They'll backdate to when you asked for the mandatory reconsideration.

To be clear do you mean you requested the MR for your current award? If you did and the decision on that award was made more than 13 months ago you are out of time to challenge that decision now. Even if you could challenge it, they wouldn’t take into consideration a worsening of condition since the original assessment took place.
If you reported changes to your health condition and they sent you another form to fill in, if the new decision is a higher award it will be paid from the date you rang to report the changes.
