In the 10 years I was using them off & on, I only had 5 dates and that one "relationship".
For me they aren't worth it because very few actual dates happen.

Interestingly, but perhaps not surprisingly, all my offers of dating fell on deaf ears, once I was away from my job.
To be fair, who wants to date some guy on benefits, one who can't spoil you with nice gifts and exotic holidays?
It's just an obvious ice breaker - "so, what do you do?". Answering "a benefit claimant", it's hardly an aphrodisiac!
