Had my review last week over the telephone after waiting nearly 14 months for this

I called pip earlier today to ask for the assors report and she said she would get it sent out to me.

Then i asked if she knew how long it would be for a decsion on the review and this surprised me as she said well not until july as this is when your award end date is

My original award was until July 2024 but it was exteneded until July 25

I thought it would be done before this is that normal she also said this was after looking at my account that it was a change of circumstances review which is confusing as i havent had change of circumstances.

The forms i recieved was titled its time to review your pip and i had to fill out the forms which i did and was sent in November 2023 my review assesment was done last week after a lengthly wait even even said on the phone its a review of your current award.

So after that im so confused she said maybe i was in hospital as this can trigger a review but i tried to explain that i have not had any change of circumstances at all and was told by text i would recieve a review form this was back in October 2023 which is the only forms i have been sent and she confirmed this but she said it shows on my account it is a change of circumstances review.

Anyone have any advice it would be appriciated

This just proves that the call centre staff do not have a single clue what they are talking about.

Once the report was returned a decision can take anything up to 12 weeks. Any new decision will overrule your current award.

You will be contacted once a decision is made.

    Thank you

Assessment was only done on 16th so maybe awhile yet. But I'm not sure which is frustrating the waiting for the descion or the report which in previous experience has led to MR and the tribunal after appeals failed but fingers crossed.
