Hi I hoping someone can help my partner was claiming PIP back in 2015 as he had a brain tumour he received high on both so we decided to get a mobility car we paid £500 up front as a Advance payment after having it removed also having chemo and radiotherapy a long battle of trying to get are life back together and as normal as possible cut story short they STOPPED IS PIP saying he was no longer in need of it so we gave the car back also we received are £500 back so after a few long month off fighting to get it back he did got high back again also received back date so thought no more off it up until 2 days ago we went to look at a mobility car all goes well until it saying need to ring this number only to be told that we have got a outstanding balance of £754 how we don't no there saying for 3 months there was no payment made but we gave the car back now the lady on the phone is saying when he received is back dated payment in the letter from DWP it would of said he owe this money but I've kept every letter I've received and not in one letter it saying this am sorry for the long message but they say until he make this payment of £754 he can not get a mobility car were do we stand on this is it worth fighting or just pay them thank you in Advance again sorry for the long message

If you know the exact date when you returned the car you will need to ring PIP to ask when the last payment was made to motability and they should be able to tell you.
If the car was returned after the last payment was made to motability then yes you may indeed owe them some money.

This was back in 2019 I will have to ring them what I don't understand if I owe them this money why is it I was not being chased up about it until now they clearly would of been sending me letter on one of my letters I have from pip saying if any outstanding balance on the car they will be in contact with me
