Moving from just lcw to lcwra

Hi, everyone, I need a little help answering my question... it's long so here goes.
Basically I stopped working in 2022 dues to issues with my feet and ankles and was on crutches (I was a cleaner) i had to provide universal Credit with sick notes, they said I had lcw but to look for work last year and last sick note was issued in April 2024, I told them my circumstances had changed as I was constantly on crutches and occasionally a wheelchair in May 2024, I didn't get my assessment until this month which I had to also tell them I've been diagnosed with lung disease (my GP patient summary hadn't been updated when they requested it back in october) Will I be getting any extra money and when from? I'm a single mum with a 5 year old.
Thank you to anyone who replies

Generally speaking when someone goes from LCW to LCWRA, if the DWP initiate the review LCWRA eligibility dates to the Assessment Period in which the decision was made.
If a claimant initiates a review by reporting a change in health, the LCWRA element backdates to when they reported it.
However that is usually accompanied by new Fit Notes.
So from what you've written, I'm not sure when they will apply the LCWRA eligibility from.
The LCWRA element is £416.19. If you have any Transitional Protection on your claim, it will reduce by the LCWRA amount.

@Kimmy87 thank you for your reply, it's all so confusing, but I think I understand what you are saying, if I was to get intouch with my coach from uc, would she be able to tell me everything or wouldn't she know either? Thank you 🙂

There is nothing to stop you asking, but work coaches don't tend to know the ins and outs of the system.

@Kimmy87 thank you, I might pop a message in my uc journal and see if anyone knows anything 🙂
