Good luck BonClay, hope I don't add to your worries but I've had the same med assessments etc. My suspicion is they could be dragging their feet waiting for Reeves's announcements, and hoping things will be harder for us then. I wouldn't wait for the result, contact CAB if you haven't already and go through it all with them + clear with them whether DWP can base their consideration on new regulations or whether they must adhere to the ones they have now. If DWP can get away with new regulations, ask CAB what else you can do to strengthen your case. If you do this now you'll be prepped before DWP spring anything nasty on you x

Same as here Catherine, everything closing, empty shop fronts everywhere. The only shop booming here in the High Street is Poundland. Tories have smashed this country up. And yep, Labour so far aren't making any difference

Im struggling as it is to get out to places and keep a calm mind.

I've tried ringing CAB but they tell me I need to come in and book an appointment be fore they can discuss anything, I used to get support for all of this but it got cut where I live.

I know it won't help but Ihave emailed all the mps involved in this godforsaken mess and mostly there assistants just try to brush you off.

£2000 / month?! But don't forget Cath, this all brewed up with the Tories, they've made it as it is now. The only good thing about them being in charge is at least then we had an opposition. Tho eg for Waspie women it was admittedly mostly hot air, but it did make the Tories more cautious.

But Labour have done some good, even I have to admit that, eg they are taking the renters reform bill through Parliament + the new workers contract Raynor set out is better than before, esp if you're one of the unlucky ones on zero hour contracts. They could be a lot better of course + the rate they're going they haven't a hope getting in again.

As for UC, I haven't had any reduction over time after being moved from ESA, not sure what the others were referring to. Tho it could all change come March, we still have to wait and see…

Yes Bonclay, trying to contact MPs can be pretty dispiriting. You could always contact Debbie Abrahams directly, she's pretty genuine, speaks out on behalf of the disabled + is fronting their dept work + pensions.

As for CAB, what I've done, as pretty much housebound too, is email them and explain I can't visit them in person. They've then reached out to me via emails + someone's phoned me up. Last time I needed them (a couple of months ago) they got onto it pretty quickly once they'd got going (it took a few days). I'd try the same tactic Bonclay, email + explain you can't get down to see them. Let us know how they respond x
