Hello everyone. Does anyone know if any funding you get for a battery pack on an electric wheelchair ? A service user I am working with has been told she needs to pay for it herself ?

Hello @Mary1944 Years ago when I was able to use a disability vehicle, I paid for it and all related costs from my DLA. I fear it is the same now and that your client will be expected to pay for her battery pack from her PIP. It's amazing how far that money is supposed to stretch.

I would agree with that. I am probably going to regret getting a Motability car when my scooter service comes around in March. The batteries are expensive. My 'half ration' ADP is spread too thin!
