Moving from temporary accommodation, will I lose my transition protection?

I might be moving from temporary accommodation to a forever howm with a housing association- I claim esa hb and pip at the moment - I work 12.5 hrs on permitted work -
I get all the premiums in my esa for being In enhanced pip for both living and morbility
my chance of circumstance will obviously trigger me to move to uc -
will I lose my transition protection in this case with the sever premium because chance of circumstance?
Is it better to claim uc two weeks before I move and get paid hb esa up until I move.. or will the change in circumstances not matter if I do it earlier without a change in circumstance yet -even though in two weeks my circumstance will change ? Does this matter with transition protection?
will uc backdate my housing element to the start of claim if I claim 4 march 2 weeks before I move in and let esa pay the two weeks then my moving date on the 18march- or wait till moving day 18 march when change of circumstances happens- will they back date my rent to 18th when I moved in in both cases minus the two weeks I was in temporary accommodation if it takes 6 weeks to get paid?

what I mean is is it better to claim uc for transitions protection before your circumstances change or will you get it even if your circumstances change and you have to claim ?
will uc backdate date the housing element to 18th (full 6 week ) until I get paid and move in date or also the 4 week wait from hb paying rent from4-18th when I move in? If I claim early to keep transition protection ?0 -
Hi @Lostsoul13 welcome to the community. 🙂 I've added some additional "tags" to hopefully highlight this to members who have experience and can offer their advice. I hope that's ok.
Best wishes,

When moving to a different local Authority then yes this would be a change of circumstances that will prompt a claim for UC when you're claiming for help with your rent. This will then end your Income Related ESA 2 weeks after you submit a claim for UC.
In this case, if you're continuing to live alone then your UC would include the SDP Transitional Protection and I believe this is less than it would be if you migrated across due to managed migration.
Please also note that you shouldn't claim UC until you've actually moved into your new home.
