Email template for your MP about disability cuts

Hi everyone - this is thanks to epicem. Thought I'd post it here as a new discussion thread in case anyone has missed it buried elsewhere.
The template is provided by Z2K, a charity fighting poverty. You just enter your postcode and it finds your MP and generates a template for you to sign and send.
Easy-peesy. If we all send them out, and get our friends to do so too, it will show the MPs there'd be a lot of protest against potential cuts. Making the sick and disabled desperately poor is no way to get us back into work, it'll just make us worse.

hi how long would it actually take for them to cut things would it be this year

Nothing has been announced by the government yet.
A statement is due to be made next month.
It is very doubtful any cuts will be made this year.

how long does it take to be put in to place and so wouldn’t be done this year
0 -
Nobody knows that until an official announcement is made but it will take a long time before any changes can be made.

My labour mp, dosent answer anyone emails, it was in our online local newspaper. People have commented, He just appears for his picture in the paper. He backed taking away winter fuel payments, farmers, so I guess he wouldn't care about the disabled

Did for me Catherine, don't know why should be different for you?

Sounds like a time-server jumping on the bandwagon Andi. Bet he was someone parachuted in by the leadership…

Probably, made out he was there for us and once in, true colours come out same with starmer wolf in sheep's clothing

Got a reply from our PM, a liberal.
He's responded by writing Parliament questions to both Reeves + Timms - good work!
Keep up the pressure everyone, it's not over yet.

Top marks for effort Cath, must make you feel exasperated, they're treating you as though you're of no importance. I wonder what they think they're there for (apart from the 93k)??
Might be better to contact Debbie Abrahams, she's labour but been fighting for the disabled for years, she's really good, and even better she's the chair of the work + pensions committee, so she has clout. I'll be doing the same, most likely this weekend…
