Question about housing element

Hi Everyone,
I’m new here and I have a question. I’m on PIP, ESA and UC, I get the severe disability premium. I have 3 kids that live with me. My 18 year old daughter is at college, my 16 year old daughter still in high school, but it’s my 17 year old son I need help with. He’s recently been diagnosed with psychosis, and his care team have applied for UC and PIP for him. Because he’s no longer in education and he’s recieving his own benefits I lost nearly £300 per month (reduced housing rate etc) my question is, if I speak to my landlord and get a new tenancy agreement with mine and my sons name on, would he be able to get a portion of the rent? To help cover what we’ve lost?
Thanks in advance

As all your children are under 21 then no non dependant deductions are made to your Housing Element.
I think instead you lost child element off your claim rather than any changes to Housing Element.
Many households struggle with the financial transition from dependant children to non dependant adults. It's difficult to adjust to having a lower income.
As he is getting his own benefits then he could pay you an amount for his keep, and you could look at what you fund for him that he could take over financial responsibility for.

As you're claiming ESA and UC then the ESA would be New Style ESA. Severe Disability Premium isn't paid with either of those benefits.

Did you in fact mean to say that you receive LCWRA, not sdp?
