Hi, my name is Robie! PIP renewal

I have just received a text to say that PIP have made a decision and I will get a letter in the next two weeks. It didn’t give the result and said not to ring. They told me a few months ago that it was going to continue until next January 2026 as they had not had time to make a decision. I think I re applied back in June. Anyway I have not had a telephone interview or a face to face so how can they make a reasonable decision unless it’s just to renew it. Any thoughts.

You can ring them even though it says not to! I recently had the same text but rang them and they told me my award over the phone. I’d not had a face-to-face or phone assessment either

Thanks I think I will just wait for the letter. I get stressed out on the phone listening very often to horrible music wondering how long it’s going to be before anyone answers. If it has not come by end of next week then I will ring. I just can’t understand that with out an interview how they can make a decision other than a positive one. Although if I remember the paperwork did ask different questions from the initial application so perhaps they can make it difficult. I must say it’s a very stressful process Keeping fingers crossed it’s all ok.
