Hi all

Just an update, had my meeting and I feel it went terribly, was asked what I hope to get out of it and I said mh support and housing support, he took some notes but seemed more interested if I heard voices or people talking to me in my head, as I don’t he said with his notes he has to have a meeting to see if they will accept me

Thanks @Bluebell21 I was told around a week, on a positive note tho, I had a mh review at my gp on Wednesday and saw a trainee gp who said if the appointment don’t go well come back to us so we can explore other options, no dr has ever said that they just fob me off telling me to call Samaritans or go to A&E

Sorry your appointment was disappointing @apples, but that does sound promising with the trainee GP. Fingers crossed they can come up with something new if nothing comes of the other appointment.

I think just my opinion Talking therapies for me was literally 6 sessions ahe spoke about painting my house and totally unhelpful things made me more angry I'm not quite sure I did ring a place called The Gateway and put complaint in there no help I'm waiting for 6 week managing emotions what can you do in 6 weeks the lady was talking Like it was Miracle cure said take two weeks that was nearly a month agoI think don't give up we have to shout the loudest to be heard

Hi letitbe, I did mention my struggles and my case worker from st mungos came with me but they never said anything, the sw I saw just kept saying how many people they have on their books so they’ll let me know, I did warn him that if I don’t get help another complaint would be going in

hi catherine21 hope you are well, I agree regarding talking therapies, I had them a few years ago after 2 sessions they told me I was more suited to the cmht but after seeing the psychologist there she just wanted me to do the 5,4,3,2,1, 5 colours, 4 sounds, 3 colours etc, after explaining I can’t concentrate and that &£@# if I’m in a state i was discharged, these people don’t understand ours struggles and just fob us off

They did the same thing to me, kept giving me the brush off . This is all really stressful for you apples and I really hope they listen to what you need and offer the help . Hopefully not too long till you find out, if they decline I hope you’ll challenge the decision.

Okay, I said I’d give an update

Had an appointment with a sw from my cmht whom I originally complained about, he asked me a few questions and I told him I had recently been diagnosed with autism, and said he has to go to the panel to see if they would accept me as I wasn’t open to them

I took a professional with me who emailed this sw for an update and she was told that one of their cmht Drs has agreed to see me but won’t be until April

I went to my Dr last week and was told that her computer system is linked to cmht and she sees nothing about being seen, I was advised to ring the cmht to see what was happening

When I rang the cmht i was put through to the sw I spoke to who told me one of their Drs has agreed to see me but won’t be for a while as he’s on leave, when I asked about help from a sw he said one of their Drs has to recommend me

On Tuesday I had a call from my gp telling me that the cmht have discharged me, no communication to me, I don’t even know if I’m still seeing the dr in April

I’ve asked this professional who I took to send an email for me to ask but she hasn’t got back to me yet

Hi Rosie, the professional rang the cmht and they confirmed they aren’t taking me on and have discharged me, nice of the cmht to tell me rather than me being told via my s&l assessor

I can feel your pain; I’ve been treated similarly. I’ve been sent from place to place, and there is no help for my mental health. I’ve been suffering for 40 years, and nothing has changed. Even when I took an overdose, the mental health team came to my house telling me they could help, but a few days later, I was told there’s nothing they can do for me.
