Where the damn can I get help

hi
This is more a rant
I can’t seem to get any support, I was under the cmht team 2022-2023, they made my mh worse so put a complaint in and asked to be transferred to another cmht, each time I speak to my gp he refers me back to the cmht who decline the referral, I’ve been to A&E who tell me I’m under the cmht team even though I’m not as my referral is either pending or declined as I’ve recently got my medical records, I asked A&E to refer me to another cmht they told me they had but they hadn’t
I self referred to talking therapies around a week ago and just received an email telling me they’re not suited for my needs after accessing notes on the system and told me to go to my gp and get referred to the cmht that 1 I don’t want to be under and 2 who decline the referral.
How the hell am I supposed to get support 😡

I’ve had terrible issues with CMHT making me worse as well .
Can you get a MH advocate in your area to help you access the help you need ?0 -
unless your schizophrenic and psychotic CMHT will do anything to get you off their books

I'm really sorry you have to go through this @apples, rant away as much as you need to!
It's awful how you've been treated by the people who should be helping you.
Like letitbe says, if you're able to access an advocate, maybe they could help get your needs across? I know finding one in your area willing to take on a case can be difficult sometimes though.

Sorry to hear you’ve had a terrible time with the cmht as well, agreed about the psychotic schizophrenic if you haven’t got those issues they do want you off their books
I’ve got an advocate writing a complaint for me, but she is asking info I can’t provide, I also said I want my complaint further than their complaints team as they answered my previous complaint with nothing more than telling me they followed guidelines and apologising, no further outcome to transferring my care to another cmht, I also received a preview of her complaints letter and it doesn’t read like a complaint, it’s on 1 sheet of a4 just stating they are not responding to my referrals

I hope you get transferred to another team . I don’t understand why A&E have said they would and haven’t . It’s like we have to fight to be validated and understood, this in itself causes us more damage .
My GP told me calling the crisis line can get things moving more quickly , have you done that ?1 -
A&E at the same time of referring me to another team said they were going to try me on some meds, yet they never informed my gp, when I mentioned this to PALS they said they forgot, just want to discharge me every time I go to A&E
I received a txt from my gp after calling 111 as I weren’t coping and the txt said if I feel unwell I am to ring the crisis team but I haven’t yet as no one as gave me their number, I can Google it but I might get the wrong team plus I hate talking to people especially about how I feel (maybe my newly asd diagnosis)
I’m thinking about emailing Wes Streeting regarding my lack of treatment, he’s not my mp, does anyone know if this would work ?

That's no good if they are telling you to ring the crisis team when nobody has given you the number.

they are so useless and sorry they are doing this to you .
I’ve had a really similar experience with MH teams and A&E. You should google crisis team and get the details - I know mine has an email they can be contacted on aswell so email them if yours has - that way u have a paper trail as well . I’ve been let down multiple times by them , whenever I call up the MH team I end up hysterically shouting at them even more distressed .1 -
@durhamjaide2001 This is the way they fob me off just pass me over to someone else but give me no contact number
@letitbe sorry to hear you have similar issues, I will Google the crisis team I hope mine has an email as I’m the same I get high rate and start shouting when they don’t listen to me and also get more distressed hence why I just suffer in silence

wow, just emailed crisis team, went to the nhs website which covers my area, and it says I need to be referred by
- Community mental health teams
- Inpatient wards
- Liaison psychiatry teams
- Mental health Single Point of Access
so I can’t even contact them myself by the looks of it0 -
I’m so sorry that you can’t get help. I don’t have the answer but you’re not alone. Mental health services are broken.

Wes Streeting MP is the Labour MP for Ilford North he is also Secretary of State for Health and Social Care.
It cannot do any harm writing to him and you are at least making him aware of your situation. He needs to know how bad Mental Health services are.

Good luck. Please let us know how you get on.
Take care.

email single point access and explain that you really need some kind of support.
Kees all your emails as paper trails of everything0 -
Hi, sorry to see you are being let down by a broken system, it won't hurt to email your own MP, (see link below) you should get a response and although some MP's don’t have a great understanding, they will be able to liase with Wes Streeting on your behalf.

If you decide to email Wes Streeting tell him you are writing to him as a last resort having exhausted every other avenue including contacting your own MP three times.
Good luck.
