I was migrated to lcwra on uc from wsa support group in October 2024.
However I just got a message on my journal that uc/dwp want to do a telephone review, to check I'm getting the right help. They've asked me to have bank statements for a one month date from 13.01.25 to 14.02.25.
I'm very worried. Not sure what to expect. Could anyone offer some advice.
Thanks

This is nothing to worry about, it's a routine check that you have been selected for at random.

Hi @Kimmy87
I just wanted to add that they have only asked me for statements from 13th Jan to 12th Feb, which is only one month(normally I've heard they ask for 4 months).
Also they've just asked me to have the statements with me when they call next week.
They haven't asked me to send or upload the statements.
Any reason for this?.

That's not something I've come across before, so am unable to advise any further.

Hi Holly_Scope
Can you kindly help me with my query for the phone assessment.
@kimmy87 says they haven't come across my situation.
Thanks

Hi @kimmy87
When I first asked the question, I did mention the one month date they've asked the statements for.
You answered. This one month is my calculation period for the monthly uc paymemt. i.e. 13th of the month to the 12th of the next month.

Hello @mo66. Although they usually request four months' worth of statements, it is not uncommon for them to ask for a shorter or sometimes a longer period. If they haven’t asked you to upload the statement, it may be that they will request it on the day, or they might simply want you to have it with you so they can ask you questions about it.

Hi Morgan_scope
I also wanted to ask. My statements run from the 7th of the month to the 8th of the month.
Since they've asked for stsyements from the 13th of January to the 12th of February. I can only print out upto the 8th of February. The entries from 9th to 12th of February won't be available for printing until 8th of March.
Shall I just write a few days entries by hand, or let them know on the day.
Thanks

Hello @mo66. It might be worth you taking screenshots of those few days' transactions and using the images. If possible I would let them know in advance because if they've asked for specific dates, they will likely want to see them.

Hi Morgan_Scope
I tried. Unfortunately you can't take screen shots of bank statements. Its a built in security restriction by tge banks. It doesn't let you.
Since I have your attention. I had another question. I have two kids who live in Manchester. They're in university. They visit me often, and when they visit, they help me out with my disability.
I sometimes send them money for food or transport. Tge average wouldn't be more than £200 all added together.
I'm on pip and uc. Do yiu think this will be a problem. Just getting worried thinking about it.
Ever so 🙏 grateful for your helpful advice

Hi Morgan_Scope
I just added up all the monies I send the children. The monthly average is more like £100, not £200. It comprises of amounts like £5 to £10.

My daughter is a full time.e University student. She is moving to my city. I claim lcwra, support for mortgage interest and PIP ( both enhanced mobility and living).
Can she use my address to get her student loan. If so, will it affect any of my benefits.
Thanks.
