Bad Green Power Reviews and BBC One Show Watchdog Report

Did anybody see the One Show Watchdog programme with Nikki Fox? I was considering a Green Power but have been put off from so many bad reviews and now this Watchdog report. Here are the overview points I wrote down from the TV show earlier in February ….
- Green Power will charge you for a warranty call out after 6 months (I think £90) even though the scooter is under warranty still
- Green Power Falcon folding mobility scooter does not reliably fold or unfold and seems to be poor quality
- Green Power batteries are unreliable - especially the lead acid ones
- Green Power Vehicle Monster in the show had lots of issues and Green Power didn't resolve over numerous repair trips
- The battery packs do not get secured on the big scooters which means they rattle around and can damage the cells according to the resident One Show engineer specialist
Honestly it's what I expected. The scooters are so cheap that they can't be very good.
It is a shame because so many people like the Green Power machines but it seems too risky. They look great. Is it just style over substance?
Are the BBC making something out of nothing just to fill a TV slot? Or are these genuine issues?
Be good to hear your thoughts . …

From a technical point of view, the company's excuses are worse than the babbling of a baby in my opinion. Traction batteries must be verified by load tests.

The range of Green Power scooters and the methodology for determining it should be looked at in the relevant documents.
