UNIVERSAL CREDIT MIGRATION - ONLINE FORM please help:(

Hi, I've just started filling in the initial questions online- but I accidentally misread a question and pressed continue! I thought i could go back and change it! I'm very stressed/anxious and have just signed out.
Is there a way of changing the answer? Or do I have to complete all questions and change it in journal?
As I have ocd I want perfection- can I make another account online and answer the questions again?
I have not submitted anything yet โฆor have i actually started the claim by filling those initial questions??!!
I'm sorry I'm just so stressed.

Stage 1 create account
Stage 2 fill out application form
Stage 3 submit application form
Stage 4 your UC claim is now live and you can access your Journal.
You can't edit anything until all sections of the application have been filled out.
Once you've filled out all the sections, you will see a screen asking you to confirm everything entered is correct.
You have two options, Yes or No, change this.
You can then select No, change this and go back to edit anything you need to.

Thank you Kimmy I'm still on stage 2... so I CAN EDIT only when I have filled out all the questions? So there's no need to create another account?
Could I create another account and just start again? Using same email/mobile?
0 -
Yes you can only edit when you have answered all the questions.
I'm unsure if you could re use the phone number and email again, although you haven't submitted the application the application is still active using those details.
If you don't submit the application then it will be deleted after 28 days.
When is your deadline?

Unfortunately the deadline is next week- sorry if I'm sounding 'silly ' but my mind is telling me the form is wrong so make a brand new one :((
If I 'edit ' will I need to explain that I put in the wrong answer? I think my anxiety is taking over any rational thinking at the moment...sorry xx
Does anyone else know if i could just make another account with same email/mobile?

No if you need to edit no explanations are asked for, there is nowhere to put them on the form anyway!
You just get to the end of the questions, then go back and edit anything needed.

Hi Kimmy- I found your 'stages' very useful. Please could you let me know what exactly happens when I press submit.... i would definitely be grateful for any detailed information about the whole process....
I think I need to know exactly what to expect/encounter so that I can be prepared and not panic!โฆ
TThank you ๐๐

I myself applied about 3 years ago so can't recall exactly what happened.
If you browse this section of the forum you should pick up some knowledge.
Citizens Advice have a Help to Claim service, I'm sure they can answer your questions and give you a basic run through of what happens after you apply.

Hi i think I'm a bit unsure what the 'journal ' bit is about....
When I submit the form will the 'journal ' tell me to upload id etc? Is that it then?
0 -
The Journal is the name for the online Universal Credit account. You'll have access to this after you submit your application.

One last question- can I use a recent esa cold weather payment letter (where they give ยฃ25 )...as proof of address? Or a hospital appointment letter?....

I have been reading about council tax- i don't pay council tax due to esa ib - sg. I live with dad (pension credit) and other sibling (pays their 'bit' of council tax). I don't think I ever applied for anything - reduction etc. I think it was automatically done when they asked about what benefits i got.
Do i write anything in the housing bit? Even though I don't pay council tax? Is this my 'housing cost'?? I'm so confused.โฆ

As you live with family you personally have no legal liability for rent or council tax. Within your household you are counted as your father's non dependant.
UC only want to know if you live with a partner, dependant children or non dependants.
None of those apply to your situation. I was the same when I first applied as I lived with my mother.

Thank you once again kimmy for calming me down - your knowledge is so helpful!

Quick question re deadline...my deadline is 6th March- does this mean before the 6th or could i still send it on the 6th?
0 -
Technically you can send it on the 6th. But what happens if your broadband goes down or the website goes down for example? I would make sure it was in before the deadline personally.

Hi, I just wanted to correct something on the form online..... in the 'housing costs ' question I've said 'no' (as I live with my dad and brother - dad owns the house). Is this right that as it's not my house?
Then in the next question it says ' who lives with you ' i have 0 children.... but in 'other people ' it also says 0 'you have no other people living with you'? I can't seem to see any option to say i live with my parent?

You have done everything correctly.
UC don't need to know that you live with parents, so that's why there is no option.
They are only interested if you have:
Dependant children, non dependants, a partner, none of which you have living with you.
Plus, you are not legally liable for rent anyway.

Nb in one question it says if you get any other benefits eg pip etc, I've ticked yes but then it says .....'is not getting any other payments or benefits'....? I'm extremely confused......
