@Albus_Scope i want to meet new people and make friends. Do you know any friendship groups I can possibly join

I'm sure we can come up with some ideas for you @Tom90 though I'm hoping our community can become a place of friendship for you.😁
So what sort of things are you looking for? Do you have any hobbies? That can often be a great place to start. Or asking your local council about coffee mornings is always good.

@Albus_Scope WhatsApp friendships groups, Facebook groups. I haven’t got many hobbies if I’m honest I got a few. I would like to meet new people and to make friends. I don’t there is many coffee mornings where I live.

OK @Tom90 I'm afraid I can't advise on any specific groups to join unfortunately as there's going to be so many out there. It's worth contacting your local council to see what's available in your area, or ask on any local facebook groups. They'd be the best places to start.
I'd be wary of any Whatsapp groups, as you'd be giving people your phone number and they tend not to be very well moderated. Safety first.

@Albus_Scope I know safely comes first always. Especially when you give out your number. I will ask my local council to see what’s in my local area and maybe facebook groups. This online community is good to be part off and to ask questions etc.
You up to much today mate?

I'm glad you're enjoying the community. Everyone's lovely, so don't be scared to join in any conversations. I always recommend the coffee lounge and the How's your day discussion. 😊
I'll be here working until 6, then hopefully a movie, or a bit of painting tomorrow. Have you got any plans this weekend?

Hi @Tom90 have you heard of U3A (the University of the 3rd Age)? They are national and run local groups for different hobbies and interests which include all sorts like walking groups, scrabble, reading, Sunday lunch out etc. I was going to join so I could go to the classes of Archeology, family history and learning the ukelele. For me it's a bit of a pipedream at the moment as I'm mostly housebound. I think it's 10.00 a year to join. Welcome though to this group !

HHi @Tom90 so sorry for the delay replying to you I've just seen your question. I've just googled it and there is a U3A in both Cardiff and one in Newport - the latter is held mostly at the Dolman Theatre on Kingsway. I hope that helps and all the best to you.
