Universal credit migration but received New style ESA response

I've been on ESA with support for over 20 years and was asked to apply for UC migration. I did and a few weeks later received a reply in the post saying about applying for new style ESA and have to answer questions with the job centre. I have just filled out a renewal for PIP and find all this getting too much to cope I don't know why its not joint up.

hello @justjoined ive just had the exact same situation, it will be your IR ESA claim is made up of both IR CB ESA you may not have known this until the migration to UC (I didn't know) you will get an appointment for telephone call ESA New Style commitment call it's very quick, your IR ESA part is paid via UC your Support Group status stays the same when you go over and you still get fortnightly paid for the NS ESA and monthly UC mine is awaiting upload of the statement any day now.

you can ask for a reasonable adjustment in the UC journal for a telephone call instead of going to JC, I did it was yesterday just quick and to agree to tell them of any changes in circumstances it went okay for me.

when you say i can ask in my uc journal for a telephone call, is this the same telephone call that was in the first message about esa?

For the ESA you will need an appointment. They will notify you when this has been booked.
All they will ask is your agreement to keep them updated with any changes in your circumstances.
This is usually a phone call, if a face to face is sent instead you can ask for a phone call.
Please see this thread where several people who have had this appointment describe how easy it is.
