I'm new to this community even though I've been disabled for over some 30 odd years. Multiple issues over the years and adding to them as i age. Latest include scoliosis and just looking for advice as to whether to seek a specialist for this, as i gather they only treat it in the young.

Hi @Ellie50 Welcome to the Community. I would suggest you see your GP and ask them to refer you to a specialist.

    Please take care.

Hi @Ellie50 and welcome to the community! I agree with @Bluebell21, it's definitely best to try to see a specialist to get the best support available. Hopefully you can get referred swiftly. Please let us know how it goes if you're happy to.

Also, hope you don't mind but I've moved your post to a different area on the forum where other members who might have some helpful advice will see it easily. Hope that's ok.

    Best wishes,

Happy to have the post moved. I have a Gastroenterology doctor. He kerps trying to sign me off and then i develop something new... my gp is aware annd I've been having tests, hence i know, almost certainly, what i have. Runs in the family too. Seeing a dietician too and on a low fodmap diet.

    Thanks for the supporting comments.

Has anyone had any scoliosis treatment as an adult? What did it involve? Was it worth it?

    Advice and experience welcome.
