I live in a big 4 bedroom house with stairs to my room I find it hard to get up n down and was looking in to a one bedroom apartment as I don't own much in the house as it a rent a room place I would need to buy alot all new I seen a place but it is private rental from a landlord who's is asking for both the rent and deposit of 850 a month and 1st month or deposit can I get any help with the housing council or benefits as I'm been put over to UC and took over my lcwra from work and support allowance
I now also been approved for pip but im unsure of what they have approved as I only got my text 2 days ago

You can apply for help with rent (known as Housing Element) once you move in, for private renting it will be at the LHA rates
Your local council might have a scheme to help with the deposit.

As it's a new claim it will be backdated to the date you rang to apply for PIP.
Hopefully the letter arrives soon and you'll be able to make more sense of it 🙂
