Shoes

Hi all,

I'm just reaching out because we are struggling, and wanted to see if anyone had any helpful advice.

My husband has spastic diplegic CP, and is somewhat unbalanced on his feet, but is able to walk independently.

He would love to be able to find a pair of trainers that he could then have adapted. (he has several pairs of high ankle walking boots- but the summer is coming!)

He has both internal innersole orthotics, and an external wedge added to the sole of the shoe. We have an amazing company near us that do the adaptations, however, we are really struggling to find a pair of trainers suitable for the adaptations.

The main issue we have is that the internal orthotic on one side takes up a large amount of space in the shoe, therefore, we haven't yet been able to find a shoe that can accommodate this and not squash his toes.

We had a quote to have some bespoke trainers made from a company in London with prices starting at £3400!!!!

1) Does anyone know of any other good footwear companies, especially ones that do trainers?

2) Does anyone know of any footwear companies that provide products that are good for adaptating?

3) Does anyone know of any bespoke footwear companies that might quote us slightly less that £3400 for a pair of trainers?

I really appreciate any help or useful links that anyone could provide.

Thank you in advance for your help.
