I’ve watched enough true crime to know a psychopath when I see one but never so many in one group of people

And I think if there was a general election tomorrow, they be obliterated, but for some reason there narcissistic behaviour they don't see it

Wasn’t that what was leaked earlier, that the criteria will change so only the mist disabled are eligible?

anyone going to reply about lcwra will the money get cut or stopped like they are trying to do with pip
2 -
That's something I've thought too. Never before have I come across a government only in for a few months and I'm already convinced they cannot win the next election. Whether it's held in 2029 or next Thursday, the opening days have been so catastrophic with regard their own vote, that any recovery seems impossible.

Hi , no one knows anything for sure yet . We can only hope things won’t be as bad as we’re expecting.

no media are trustworthy , that’s why they are publishing leaks from the government and will get paid to do so. All I can say to everyone, is ignore the news and wait for the official announcement.

From what i understand according to articles such as from the rowntree foundation LCWRA could be cut by as high as 34% for new claimants and probably those reassessed. After inflation increase that could be as high as £128 gone each month! This is the most damaging part of the proposed changes even more damaging then the PIP freeze! They're also thinking about not allowing those with ADHD, Depression or Autism from being able for claiming this entitlement which is discriminatory! We won't know for sure until next week however when more information gets released. Its important to protest these proposed changes be as loud as possible. https://www.jrf.org.uk/news/factsheet-health-related-benefit-cuts

Hello there I just this month be award pip for Daly living and mobility Daly low mobility high IV not even had my 1st payment yet and my Daly was given to me for my mental health issues but I see on the news today about they going to cut people with mental health issues and as my payment is set for the 31 of march and they having a meeting on the 23 of march could I lose my 1st payment and the 4 years they just awarded for? Please put my mind to rest on this as it s was a long and stressful time just to get approved just to have it took away before it even as began

Also I see this well effort the UC just like pip I had to go through a assessment for lcw or lcwra and again for just my mental health not included on this one about my mobility problems they give me in January a 10 years approved letter for lcwra that I have only had one payment of this for February and still waiting for the next one in march would they stop this as well or cut it as this makes a big difference in the cost of living as everything s and is going up in price and it not like it's just one or 2 things going up it's the lot and even with this extra money it don't cover all the money I have to payout ever month so do make cuts on things likemy gas and electric or have times with out food this why pip would been about more early for me to manage but with all this news going on I'm afraid that I well lost it before my 1st payment on the 31 of march

well it is 94% labour wipeout for scotland once the scottish elections start in 2026, so early warning sign.

i think you all need to wake up and smell the roses how can they cut lcwra for people on uc but still pay transitional protection for the people on the old system making the divide even bigger this is mainly 40 pages of tommy rot and speculation fuelled by people feeding you fear

There’s a hope…

personally I’d rather they freeze pip then bring in the new criteria . Though every small victory is a relief. I’m sure I remember descriptors changing after to going to court in the past and then claimants had their money back dated. They surely can’t be seen to be discriminating against ppl with certain conditions. I think MH, hidden disabilities such fibromyalgia and ME ( which I have both ) even deaf people wouldn’t score enough points .

A number of MPs broadly supportive of welfare reform have told the BBC they have received assurances that severely disabled people would not be expected to work and would not lose entitlement to benefits.
I sincerely hope its true, because Labour need to understand something fast.
when they keep using recent Global events as a reason for clearly long standing ideas
instead of speeches clearly intended for the right wing media, Showing compassion is not a weakness, Showing common sense and a clear understanding of the issues people face.
Not just delivering speeches with the tag line "working people or hard working people"
They axed the WFP and it became clear they had totally ignored the thousands of people just a few pounds outside getting PC.
they created GB Energy they could still salvage this shambles by teaming up with a provider to offer a social tariff this alone would trigger all the others to cut prices and they finally
the need for WFP would be a bit less urgent. The entire point of electing MP's is to be the voice of the people who voted them in to tell the leadership when they are wrong.
Not just follow and vote like sheep, because we all know these "reforms" were not part of the GE and seeing how they have already dropped huge pledges like Non **** tax etc.
They can still salvage this and for me it starts by not trying to be Reform Lite
Listen to Charities and Organizations and us the people on what being disabled is really like.

but who decides who is the most disabled? I’m not in a wheelchair but am mostly house/bed bound with fibromyalgia and ME though I have other conditions too. Pip is already difficult to claim , if they go ahead with new criteria it will be practically impossible for most of us.

I agree, not freezing PIP is a good start but to me the reduction in LCWRA & tightening restrictions on PIP are even more essential.
I’ve seen it mentioned that ‘a number of MPs broadly supportive of welfare reform have told the BBC they have received assurances that severely disabled people would not be expected to work and would not lose entitlement to benefits’ - But the problem is what those benefits look like if they’re cut for everyone?
They could be on the top rate for everything and still on less than they are now if everyone else is downgraded too.
Also, what is the definition of ‘severely disabled’ anyway when there is the tightening of the restrictions?
You could actually have someone who is currently on full enhanced PIP for their disabilities suddenly go to zero, with no actual change in their health.
What does that even mean? Are you suddenly not disabled, or miraculously cured of your lifelong conditions? Even worse, imagine actually being told, “sorry, you’re suddenly not disabled enough!”8
