The Children's Commissioner’s Office recently met with the new SEND Youth Panel—11 young people with lived experience—to ensure their voices shape ongoing reforms. They spoke with education leaders and the Department for Education about key issues, including better collaboration between schools and families, earlier identification of support needs, and improving oversight to ensure real change. This meeting highlights the importance of listening to young people to build a more inclusive SEND system.
