pls can you advise
I am my sons appointee for PIP
my son as Asd spd and marked anxiety and depression.
i have just got a text to say a assesment is needed.
rang maximus up and says a HP
will contact me .
The point is on all do uments sent in states my son is reluctant to go out ect
ssignificant distress and extreme sensory overload due to smells ect.
my son will not be able to sit in any room without feeling sick
if its a fa e to fa e can I change it to video due the distress it would cause him
also I know I can speak for him too
so worried don't want cause any stress on my child
I heard most assesments are done over phone

Hi,
As you are your son's appointee, you can attend the assessment on your own, he does not have to be present.
As you say, most are done by telephone now, so that is most likely what you'll get. You can request to change it if you are asked for a face to face though.

iI thought face to face assesments the claimant had to go with the appointee

if and when does this start
as previous I have just submitted pip form for my child age 16
rreally the stress of it all
if this does happen whst about the 16 year old that ate in process or past surly there must protection

They haven't given any details on that yet, it is to be given further consultation in future.
For now you will just have to continue with the PIP application.
