Hi, my name is kitb20!

Hello my name is Kit. I'm in my late 60's and disabled due to three cancers. I am currently in remission. I receive a PIP to help me with getting around and preventing accidents like falling or burning myself

Adding I have a tiny state pension of £335 a month and rely totally on my husband for finance and driving me around. If I lose my PIP I will be entirely reliant on him. It may sound petty but I have very little independence as it is without losing what I have.

Hi @kitb20 Welcome to the Community. I do understand what you are saying your independence is very important to you. We do not know yet what is going to happen with PIP we should find out on the 26 March 2025.
Perhaps have a look around and join in when you are ready. This might help to take your mind of things for a short time.
Take care.

Hi @kitb20 and welcome to the community. 🙂
Hopefully we'll receive a bit more clarity during the announcement today but it's important to remember this is just the very initial proposals and there'll be a period of consultation etc. allowing us an opportunity to respond to these. Hopefully you'll find the online community a safe place. A place where we can come together and support one another during this time.
