YOU NEED TO SCORE ABOVE 4 POINTS IN ONE DAILY LIVING?

I saw it said in the new changes you have to score above 4 points in a daily living question, can I just clarify I’ve understood this right - you just need 4 points in one answer, not above 4 in all answers?

yes it's on BBC news people will need to score a minimum of 4 points in one category to qualify for daily living element of PIP. Won't affect mobility element.
Times newspaper trailed this a few days ago - thinking is to crack down on those with mental health and neurological disorders (autism, ADHD etc) which might total low scores on a lot and be eligible. Going forward no one will be eligible without a higher score (4 or above) in at least one category.

I wonder if this will apply to people who already get PIP?

Point 21 - "We will introduce a new, additional eligibility requirement so that a minimum of 4 points must be scored on one PIP daily living activity to receive the daily living element of the benefit. This means that people who only score the lowest points on each of the PIP daily living activities will lose their entitlement in future"

Looks like it will, but only when you get reviewed.

We understand you have a tonne of questions regarding the new green paper announcement, so we've created this discussion for everyone to talk about it.we're actively campaigning and raising awareness through The Cost of Cuts, and we’d really appreciate your support and signature.
We'd prefer to keep the conversations all in one place, so as to protect the mental health of all on the community, so we will be closing this discussion. I hope you understand.
