PIP changes - some clarification needed

I’m posting because I need some clarification regarding today’s changes.
For the daily living component, I see that it mentions if we score more than four points in an activity such as preparing food, eating and drinking, managing treatments, washing and bathing, managing toilet needs, dressing and undressing, communication, reading, mixing with others, and making budgeting decisions, we qualify for the daily living component under the potential changes.
I scored higher than four in one criteria—communication, where I scored 12 out of 12. Does this mean I am likely to qualify for the new daily living component?
Additionally, are we likely to remain with our old decisions until our next reassessment, or will the government implement the new system for all of us in November 2026?
Thank you for your comments. They are much appreciated.

Hi yes that's correct.

Y, I think you'll be OK. I THINK THE TOTAL HAS TO BE 4_OR OVER & NOT 4 PER ACTION. I HOPE!

My understanding is that you need to score 4 in ONE of the activities, this will have the most affect on those in the standard daily living allowance. It is estimated that over 1 million will lose that element in November 2026.
In my opinion it is worth checking your scores in the award letter to make sure that you have at least ONE score of 4 or over in the daily living section.

Hi @Waiting001 Just wanted to share the link to the discussion @luvpink mentioned as it may be helpful - The Green Paper Discussion
We'd prefer to keep the conversations regarding this all in one place, so as to protect the mental health of all on the community, so we will be closing this discussion. I hope you understand.
