Green paper changes

hello,
I know we are all still trying to get our heads around the proposed changes after the green paper today.
I am on contributions based ESA in the support group. I am allowed to do permitted work. I also get pip mobility component. If these proposals were to go ahead I would lose everything. Would I be able to claim their new UC if my husband works? Or would I not get anything? I’m worried I wouldn’t even be able to access help to get a job. I’m properly terrified if I’m honest. I’m worried I’m going to be left on the scrap heap. Sorry to sound negative but I can’t help it. Thanks

also what happens if someone can only work say 15 hours a week but are off all benefits. Will they have any option to claim anything else?

Hi @Anniebeau yesterday was a very challenging day - lots of questions following the announcement. I hope you're feeling a bit better today. It might be worth taking a look at a discussion where a lot of our members are coming together to share their concerns/questions, and support one another. This is called - The Green Paper Discussion 🙂
We'd prefer to keep the conversations regarding this all in one place, so as to protect the mental health of all on the community, so we will be closing this discussion. I hope you understand.
Also, just wanted to say welcome to the community. I hope you find it helpful here. There are lots of supportive and knowledgeable members here.
