Hi, my name is butterfly333! Can I try working without my LCWRA being stopped?

Hello, I need some help.
I’m currently on LCWRA for my mental health, I’ve been on it for over a year now but I’m starting to feel a little better, I still suffer day to day so my health hasn’t changed but being in the house I feel in the long term will make me worse. I’m wanting to look for a job maybe for a few hours 4/8 while I gradually get back into working as if I go straight in 30 hours I don’t think id be able to cope. I’m not sure how I go about this though? Do I get in contact with dwp before and tell them I’m looking for work will my LCWRA be stopped? Also I’m worried incase I start working and my health issues stop me from working again would i lose my LCWRA? If anyone could help me or give me any advice that would be amazing thank you.

If you start a job this needs to be reported to UC.
You can work on LCWRA, although if your job contradicts the reason you were given LCWRA it might go against you at your next review.
You can earn £404 (£411 April) if claiming Housing Element, or £673 (684) if no HE, before the standard UC deduction of £0.55p for every £1 is applied.
As you have LCWRA you have no work commitments. This means no issue with UC if you end up stopping.

okay thank you so much for your reply, so say I got a job but I was only working 4-8 hours a week would I still be entitled to my LCRWA and would I still have to let UC know in my journal? I’m just worried incase they stop my payment if I’m only working a few hours as I don’t think I can commit to full time due to my health reasons.
