I’m in! My strength wavers-one moment, I feel strong enough to fight the system, and the next, I’m just struggling to survive for myself and my family. But we’ll stand together in this. This is why I love Scope 👏🤝

My strengths waning, the older I get too the less upset I can face, I was always a strong person, at least I faced things head on even with health conditions, things I knew I had to do as there was no other way around it, and suffered badly afterwards, but this charade, it has me floored. I cannot comprehend the sheer audacity and cruelty, the determination to plunge us into poverty or crawl to work and die doing so is barbaric.

I dread the future.. and I dont mean the distant future.

Many of us are going to be made destitute but lets keep strong, keeping strong in food banks? no how about lets keep strong whilst many of us are made homeless, that park bench will keep us strong during those homeless nights won't it?

All I see is a society which worships everyone other than disabled people. They put pensioners on a pedestal over 300 quid because they've "worked all their lives" doing what? Smoking dope in the 1960s? Being pen pushers in the 1970s and 1980s then bragging that they've done the most work any generation have ever done.

Most of these people never did a days work in their lives, they scrounged off of the state, with their bad backs and excuses and blagged their way until pension age whilst these same people decry people in our position, that we get the easy life, watching TV, buying frivolities. To say I can't stand them is an understatement.

So excuse me for being bitter and cynical but I don't see how empty words are going to solve anything over than giving a false sense of hope when the inevitable destitution is to come. Blind faith gets nobody nowhere.
