Hi I've only just being warded lcwra my first sick note was in November 2024 my assessment date is 7th to 6th I'm paid on 13th of month when will I get my first payment please

What date did you report the health condition?

What date was your first Fit Note?

Were there any gaps in handing in Fit Notes, any that were backdated etc?

Do you claim with a partner who gets LCWRA, or have Transitional Protection on your claim?

It's being on going for a while my fit note was 7th November 2024 no gaps no not got partner

If you look back on your Journal entries, the date you reported will be on there.

LCWRA has a waiting period of three full assessment periods, from the date the first Fit Note was handed in. No money is paid or subsequently owed for that period.

My estimate of your waiting period:

November/December AP 1

December/January AP 2

January/February AP 3

February/March Eligible for LCWRA element

March 13th: First LCWRA element paid.

I estimate you are currently owed one month's LCWRA element. If it's not on your next statement, then two months will be owed.

UC need time to process the decision before LCWRA is added to your monthly payment, and backpay calculated.

Money owed is calculated separately and this usually takes several weeks at least. You'll know this has been done when a letter is added to your Journal confirming the amount they owe you.

You'll then receive the money into your bank account several working days later.

So they owe me march my next payment is 13th April so will I start getting it in may so they have time to sort payment out

I'm afraid I can't answer as to how long UC will take to fully process the decision.

Either you'll see it first on your latest payment statement, or you'll have a notification that the backpay has been processed.
