Motability

Hi,
Im looking at the motability scheme. I currently own my own car but due to complications from an inguinal hernia mesh repair two years ago, im struggling to sit upright.
For off the shelf cars this is a massive hindrance as cars seem to be adopting an ever more upright seating position. I would like to build myself something like a single seater race style car with a canopy to keep the weather out.
I was wondering if there was any funding exemptions for when the cars on offer don't meet our needs.
Many thanks in advance.

Call Motability 03004564566. I know they do offer some grants but they can tell you more. Good luck.

I would advise you to first find a car with the seat you think you need and try getting in and out of it.

Hi,
Motability scheme won't cover that type of thing. You can only choose from the vehicles on their website. They may be able to cover seat adaptions for some vehicles.
You can use your Mobility payments in any way you choose. So if such a car could be used via monthly payments then that would be an option.
