Hi Everyone

Just to introduce myself.

I am normally a very patient and caring person and love to help others as much as I can.

I was always busy, with work, family etc.
Now all that has gone. I had very brutal surgery in 2021 during which my Consultant found a rare cancer that I didn't know I had, during a presumed twised bowel.

I had been through several severe traumatic experiences prior to the surgery, as a consequence the surgery was the last straw and am now undedr the care of a fabulous clinical psychologist with suspected PTSD.

I know that many people have hidden disbilities and I just love the idea of chatting to other people who cope with life changing events, sharing hints and tips etc about getting back some quality of life and how to avchieve this.
I ended up with a stoma, so I can possibly share some of my experiences of dealing with this for anyone who may be struggling.

I fel that there is a wealth of experience out there that we could all use to help each other.

Sorry if I have droned on a bit, but I just feel that it is so important whatever disability you all have that there are people willing to listen to and vent with.
Thank you for reading this & I wish everyone the very best that life can offer

Yours

Carol xxx

Welcome Caruss, my heart goes out to you as for sure you have been through a lot.

I can feel for you as unfortunately I have had to have 2 stomas (Ileostomy - 1989 and Urostomy - 2009)

Nice to know you have a very good clinical psychologist to help you as much as is needed.

    Take care. x
