I understand your concerns about the 2012 cuts, but Iโm struggling to see how focusing on past issues helps us address the challenges ahead. Many members qualified for their current level of support under the 2016 criteria, and most seem content with what they receive.
However, from 2026, the system will undergo significant changes. Thousands who qualified under the 2016 rules will no longer be eligible, the LCWRA route will be eliminated, and stricter PIP criteria will leave many without support. How does dwelling on past cuts help us navigate these imminent challenges?

anon, I can't date your article but bear in mind that this mention of "Amending the LCWRA Substantial Risk regulation" has already happened. I can only think this is here to confuse people.

Where do people think that 'experts' like B&W get their information from?
anon, I don't know anything about PIP only that the greatest risk is to working-age claimants being migrated to UC under the 2016 reforms. They should not have been passed. Nor the 2012 reforms. Parliament was lied to and we are still being lied to about why further changes are needed to fix the 'broken' benefits system. The one they broke!
The bereaved families have been lied to for too long. I think they deserve to know the facts about welfare reform.

I agree sorry agreed with other post We are in the here and now and have to work with what we have I never knew any changes in 2016 and still got reassessed in 2020 still on going all this side tracking is wasting time

I wondered that, I'm guessing it's the end of the consultation period for the Green Paper but I could be wrong, has been known very occasionally ๐ ๐ .

Remember to complete the Green Paper questionnaire and, if need be, return to it if you think of something you hadn't the first time. Call them out (politely) for not consulting on key changes.

Hi Everyone
i emailed Starmer yesterday as ive just had enough of this, goverment in a mess with their finances so lets target the most vulnerable and take what they have to make our goverment book right.
So many issues i went through but dont think will hear back from him.

It is very strange. Maybe, just maybe the light bulb moment has happened for them and they're now seriously considering U turning on WFP and the cruel benefit reforms, doing this will surely get them some votes back. I know they haven't said anything, but maybe they wont until things are concrete.
I'd rather never vote Labour again even if they do do a u-turn because of what they've done, but what's the alternative? If I vote for Greens they'll probably not get in and because that's one less vote for Labour it'll be more likely that the Tories or Reform will succeed and then we'd be back where we are with all the worry and things could be much, much worse than they are now.
