I hope that’s the case but on DPAC they said they’re making more cuts with some MOs saying they should have cut back further to begin with. I thought how much more can they take ?

I would hope and this is only my opinion that with the Local elections being so bad for Labour and them losing the bye election to Reform and only holding 3 of the 6 mayoral seats that they will perhaps have a re think before the Autumn budget.

Hi no I haven't had time to ring them or get help from cab or anyone else due to the Bank holiday so I am doing it all myself with the help of my carer.

I am so unprepared but to be honest I just want to get it done.

I am going to write a letter stating I wasn't expecting a reassessment so soon and I am disadvantaged not being prepared for it and unable to get help with it within their given time frame.

I will also tell them I have requested my medical records and I will be sending further supporting evidence in due course.

My carer has written a detailed supporting letter.

I am really not well at the moment but honestly I just want to get it done and send the stupid form in because I am going on a little stay cation next week with friends where we live here in Cornwall.

I hope you’re right . I can’t help having the feeling that starmers purposely ruining the Labour Party . He’s so evil and calculated this must be on purpose. It sounds ridiculous but I’ve read comments elsewhere saying the same thing. I hope I’m wrong and he backs down. He’s known as Mr flip flop for a reason.

Let me address your two enquiries, as they seem to have been stressing you out a lot.

    1. Ending reassessments for people with LCWRA, with the exception for a tiny number of cases, was the last Tory government's proposal.

Keir Starmer and his clowns have opted for the opposite direction. They've said that not only "will they reintroduce reassessments for incapacity benefits (or LCWRA as many people call it), with exceptions for those who will never work and those under special rules for end-of-life care, but also there will be an increase in Face-to-Face Assessments for both PIP and the WCA."

Bear in mind, this is not my opinion but is right from the mouth of Liz Kendall during her speech in the parliament on 18th March 2025, and it's also clearly stated in the damn Green Paper.

    2. As for whether someone who previously scored 4 points on one descriptor in the Daily Living component and whose health conditions haven't changed since could get again 4 points or keep their previous 4 points score upon reassessment, I'm afraid a considerable number of cases in which people have been downgraded from their previous 4 points score and some have even been given 0 points upon reassessment have been reported both on this forum and Benefits & Work. The last case that I've read in this regard was just last night and on this very forum - someone who previously scored 4 points on one descriptor and who has very recently been awarded zero points all the way from 4 points! And this person was even awarded their 4 points score upon appeal!

No one is safe. Their wicked plan is to cut benefits to as many claimants as possible. Tomorrow's EuroMillions' jackpot is £93 millions. Make sure you win it!

they are evil . Tory’s weren’t this bad . I’ve read that these changes take a few years to implement so how the hell are they managing this all so fast . How are doing what no other government has done so quickly. I’m mostly house/ bed bound with chronic fatigue etc . If I don’t get 4 ( which on my previous form I should have gotten) how can I be left to starve ? Where’s the equality act ? They know we are disabled and either can’t work or won’t find a job . I can’t understand how this is legal .

    They're evil undiluted.

Yep, even the Tories were better than Keir Starmer and his clowns.

As the above article in the Guardian discussed it, they're now reviewing the winter fuel payment to give some concessions to the pensioners, to play divide and conquer and get the pensioners out of their way!

so we starve all year round and they think no one will notice. Hopefully if this becomes law it can then be challenged in court or the ECHR .

labour have confirmed they will not be reinstating the winter fuel payment

So that's it then, labour will not reinstate the winter fuel payments, so what are the chances they'll U turn on the welfare cuts?

Is there any hope? I feel myself sinking further and further each day, this is all consuming, it's all I can think of. I feel nothing but despair at this point. How can they do this to us? How can, under so much opposition they stick firm to their plans? I just can't believe what is happening.

    Is all hope now gone?
