Hi
I am new to this site and not very tech savvy. I am a carer for my grown up son who has severe mental health issues. I’m sure there are loads of others in similar positions but it’s a very isolating situation.

Hi @Cheshiregraham Welcome to the Community. I hope you enjoy your time on the forum. Any questions just ask.
Being a carer is one of the hardest jobs I have ever done and is very isolating. I think you can also loose your own identity. You just become an extension of the person you care for.
We do it because we love the person we care for but it can be very hard at times.
Try and find time for yourself.
Have a look around and join in when you are ready.
Take care.

Thanks Bluebell21
Mental health issues are so misunderstood even in this day and age and the severity of some not taken seriously.

Heya @Cheshiregraham and it's a warm welcome from me too.
I'm very glad you're always there for your son, I agree mental health issues ae often overlooked and people feel they can "just get over it" and that kind of thinking really does need to change.0
