    Hi @Agnia

I have just seen this post as I wasn't around on the bank holiday.

I'm glad it was all sorted in the end and I'm sorry your post going into spam made you feel that way but as Holly said, she's made it so this shouldn't ever happen again!

I hope you are doing okay and have a lovely day☺️

The importance of getting names right

Studies have shown that a sense of community and cohesion within a group is essential for fostering a positive and supportive environment. Most of the published research discusses educational settings in educational settings, building and sustaining relationships among students and name interactions between staff and students is crucial for a successful learning environment. One way to enhance this sense of community is by correctly pronouncing each student’s name.
Why does name pronunciation matter, because it speaks to the core of a person’s identity and it also means that the person has taken the time and effort to make sure and they show respect by pronouncing our name accordingly and correctly and demonstrate that they value our identity. Names are deeply tied to an individual sense of self and can be a source of pride or discomfort, Misspelling a name can be seen as disrespectful discrimination and can impact an individual self - esteem. Repeatedly mispronouncing someone’s name can be a form of microaggression which are subtle but often harmful comments or actions that communicate negative attitudes towards a person or group.

That's a really interesting read, thank you for sharing @Agnia.

I think it's important to distinguish something that is done intentionally or out of ignorance or malice, like described in the article, or genuine typos or mispellings online. People online type quickly, and depending on the device used the keys can be very close together. Many mobile devices use autocorrect too, which can change what is written.

On a social media platform such as this, I think it would be unreasonable to expect everyone to proof-read every message over and over for accidental typos.

It's important for people to be mindful of how their words and mistakes can impact others, but it's also important not to assume every instance is a targeted attack and give people grace and understanding for genuine errors.

Agnia, hope you are feeling much better,

It's hard with mental heath as something that is very important to you can seem trivial to others,

Something may have happ8that means it is important to you people do get your name write how ever I don't think anyone would do it on purpose this seems to be a nice platform and some genuinely lovely people

Hope you are well and have a good day xx

As a fellow suffering person with mental health stay strong and we got this😍

Hi @Charlie_Scope thank you for writing i think that my further explanation do not make sense i would like to add that i receive enhanced pip and i do suffer from a very very deep depression and in the past i ran a vat business and always checked the name and surname of my clients before writing it out of respect for them and here on the Scope forum as well and that’s all i wrote earlier had a negative impact on my health.

Hey Agnia, I've just seen your post. I won't be up late but other members will be.

I don't read every thread but I haven't seen any malice towards you on the forum.

It's here for you to say what you need to say when you're upset. Don't feel embarrassed. Depression goes hand in hand with ill-health and disability and it's crushing. Thank goodness we have this forum.

Good morning dear Agnia, thank you for your lovely message, I'd never think you're ignoring me 🫂.

I'm sorry, I went to bed at 6pm last night, it's getting earlier and earlier, they'll be no point getting up at all if I go much earlier.

Had to go doctors yesterday got an ear infection which is so painful but not been able to go to chemist for antibiotics yet as was too dizzy. Going to try and go this morning. They normally deliver for me but they can't until Monday.

I hope you have a better day today and that you are able to rest. With very warmest wishes to you my dear friend, take very good care too. I am thinking of you and wishing you well ❤️ 💐 🌹.

Hi dear @WhatThe , Thank you for writing to me , I’m disappointed and sad and i couldn’t get out of my bed and im Polish and English is my second language and trying to find right correct words , during my work i was very busy i dedicated a lot to my work i wrote a lot of emails, i did work for celebrities, for MBE, for people from music industry, i was so tired and the only thing i had strength to do was to go to the park at the weekend to be in silence and listen to myself or to spend time with my boyfriend and watching movie together and he saw many times what stress i was going through, and there is also an option “ edit “ and is it also any possibility to review and to make corrections to a text before posting it ? I’m disappointed really.

Hi @Agnia I am very disappointed that you have not accepted my acknowledgment and apology for spelling your name wrong.

It was a typing error and was not done with any malice or intention to hurt you.

I have since I have been on the forum always tried to help and support you. Show me one single time where I have disrespected you or been unkind to you.

I am sorry I am not perfect and do make mistakes. I put two letters the wrong way round when typing on the key board. i.e. Agnia and Agina. Once I had done it wrong once somewhere in my head the wrong spelling seemed to be the norm.

Can I ask what you want from me? by continuing to keep bringing up this subject the only one you are hurting is yourself.

What has happened can not be changed it is done.

I am myself going through a very stressful time with my own health and am still waiting for it to be resolved.

This will be my last comment on this subject.

    Please take care of yourself.

What 'situation'? A misspelling that was unintentional? Can't we put this behind us now, especially since Bluebell chose to apologise?
