1 Timothy 5:8🙏

thank you. To use that quote as a political slogan is despicable and utterly misleading.
The Bible as a whole is much greater than that single quote.
Many teachings of the Bible are not being followed by the so called Christians or Catholics in the high spheres of power, obviously including the Church itself, a highly corrupted organisation.
Unfortunately it has been misquoted/corrupted/mislead by many throughout history and will continue to be so. 😔

long enough to tell when people are manipulating the Bible.
Read the following from someone more erudite than me:
that quote 1 Timothy 5:8 is taken out of context for a purpose by despicable people. Promoting an idea that goes against many teaching from the Bible. You can agree or disagree with the Bible that’s a personal option. But don’t manipulate it please.

everyone please calm down and stop fighting

OK so what can we do?
It seems we need a party to vote for that will protect us, but the only ones really shouting on our side are the Greens and they are unlikely to win. Can anything be done to make them winning more likely?
There are a few poiliticians that are indendent that have ideology that would help us such as Corbyn. Could any of them be persuaded to form a new party?
Or do we have to form a party for disabled rights? If so there is not much time to get our ducks in a row. Where would funding be got from and who could be persuaded to defect from labour etc…1 -
OOh OK thankyou I'm good yourself

So you admit you have no biblical knowledge and instead quote someone elses opinion on the subject , by the way my signature is biblical scripture by the word of God , good for teaching and admonishing , the fact that you have read it and decided to take it in a certain vain , clearly not backed by knowledge is not my misuse but clearly your misunderstanding . Yes there are despicable people who manipulate God's word such as asking for money for God's healing , fortunately it happens , certainly not the fault of the bible and certainly not the fault of God .

Hi all, I think it may be best that we draw a line under this now as the discussion is veering off course.
Please try to keep to the original topic if you can.

If they still are working from home or not doing their job, then yes they should lose their jobs, if they are DEI hires, not the best person for the job, yes they should lose their jobs, I don't understand why people are against the gov and council being stripped from waste or corruption, it is the people's money being spent, we should know it is being spent wisely.

The idea of me and my family first which some politicians are using by quoting Timothy previously mentioned is wrong. That idea is clearly not in the Bible. In fact to the contrary. There are many instances in the Bible that shows this.
The idea of getting rid of the self: my family, my money, my propriety, my knowledge, me me me etc is exactly the teachings that the Bible promote along many other religions around the world. The cross is the clearest example.
Negation of the I = ✝️

You've just described a lot of disabled people who have reasonable adjustments including being able to work from home, often flexibly in line with their condition/s.
