PIP does not affect UC. They are separate benefits.

That is standard procedure. They are not meant to tell people by phone or email, although some of them do. Hopefully it will be a good result.

Hi @ased444, I don't think PIP is going to be linked to UC no matter how the green paper debate, or vote, goes.
You might want to contact the Citizens Advice Bureau (CAB) to help you to either appeal, or to start a new PIP application.
If you rent your property from a local council, they often have a 'Money & Benefits Team'. They could also help you to appeal or make a new application for PIP.
Both of the above organisations could also do a benefits check for you. They could also give you a voucher to use at your local food bank if you need that help.
Please don't sit on your own worrying - do come back on here if you have any more questions. Take care and very best wishes to you.

Hi
How do you know that pip will not be linked with universal credit because liz kendal anounce in march that they will be starting from 2026?

My understanding is that changes to PIP are planned to be effective from November 2026. The changes will be to the eligibility criteria i.e. 4 points must be awarded in any one section of Daily Living for any new applicants, as well as for existing claimants at their Review, to be awarded or maintain/successfully keep their existing award.
So if they only receive a maximum of 2 points in any DL section, they would then not be awarded for PIP.
I also understand that with effect from November 2028, any claimants in receipt of LCWRA will not receive that any longer if they are not in receipt of PIP.
I am not a benefits expert though and there is a lot more information on the 'Green Paper' thread too if you look on that thread.
I think April 2026 is the date when new claimants for LCWRA will receive a significantly lower amount each month than current claimants.

Please do not answer to the question that you dont know because you just said to me false information before. I need to know if the mp vote goes against the green paper why the goverment going ahead to do the green paper rules for next year and i need to know if we dont get pip and work less hours will we still getting benefit from that low wages because how will people feed there children?

I am sorry if the information I have provided doesn't help you. You might want to contact the CAB who have more expertise in these matters. All the best to you.
