ESA migration to UC resulting in Council Tax Reduction Changes

Hi,
I was wondering if anyone has had this happen to them? I was getting 100% Council Tax Reduction with my Income Related ESA and now that has changed due to Migration and I now have a Council Tax bill.I’m aware UC is separate to Council Tax but when you are told you will not be worse off due to migration it’s not true when I now have a Council Tax bill that I did not have previously and you can do nothing about it! 🤯

Yes I've seen this happen to quite a few people.
Unfortunately the DWP and local councils are seperate which means the claim you won't be worse off only applies to DWP benefits. Not to Council Tax Reduction.
I appreciate it's really unfair for those effected.
This financial year some councils have even started counting PIP as income for the first time, which I think is shocking.
