LCWRA Reviews

LCWRA Reviews apparently have been stopped however i am told only new claims or change of circumstances are going ahead supposedly there is a huge backlog for LCWRA Reviews and if I am told correctly goes back years so when would everything resume.

They haven't been stopped completely for LCWRA, but as resources have been focused on new claims & changes of circumstances, very few LCWRA reviews have taken place since the pandemic leading to a large backlog.
No one knows when they will resume at scale, although I believe they are mentioned in the Green Paper released last month.
Perhaps there is someone on that discussion more up to speed than I am

If there is a huge backlog that green paper won't matter it could take years to catchup on the backlog and they don't have that many staff to deal with this.

I read on the PDF for the Spring Statement I think it was, that the reassessments will begin in April or after April next year.

The green paper doesn't mean thing it's not written in stone it has to go through parliament first it has to be voted on and the way things are going Labour lost big in the local elections if I were the PM I would resign.

The backlog will have increased even more by then they will never catch up

So people will have to wait till April 2026 some would have been due this year so instead it will be next year instead is that right?

April 2026 is when LCWRA reviews resume due to a backlog their only doing new claims or change of circumstances it states LCWRA reviews resume April 2026 in the green paper which isn't written in stone debates are still happening up to June 30th 2025 it has to be voted on also Labour aren't exactly flavour of the month they lost the local election so they will need to win back votes again if they were to win a general election Labour ma's are going to be voting against it there is a rebellion the green paper is what it is it isn't a law its a proposal of what the government is pledging this has to be passed through parliament and yes starmer was a lawyer but doesn't mean he can influence the system he's not a layer anymore he is facing rebellion from his own people he says people voted for change yes they did but not the change he is implementing i have signed the petition on this asinine reform their now proposing this 22bn black hole in don't think exists.
