My award was for five years. I have many lifelong and decades long disabilities. I am in no doubt the form will arrive any day now a year in advance.which I'm beyond panicked and anxious about. Plus ive to migrate to UC by mid Nov. It all impacts every moment of our lives. No matter how much medical "Evidence " we have or how well we explain the daily help we need. Its terrifying.

Hi, my review is not due to end until April 2026, but sent a review form in August, which I completed and returned, is this right please? I had very little medical evidence to send, due to delays in hospital, consultant appointments being delayed. My DEXA scans and infusions were put on hold for 2 years and still waiting. Saw my consultant this week after 2 years, should be yearly. It's all very scary, my condition has worsened, but I hate to make a fuss and push myself forward.I sent what I had since 2021, my last assessment. But concerned they will tell me it's not enough...

Hi all,
I’m not sure what this means but my award was until early next year . I received and sent my form back in July. Yesterday was sent a txt saying they still have my form and will process it when they can. This morning I received another txt saying my review is complete. Is this bad news ? I was expecting an extension due to the backlog. I’m now really stressed out as I wasn’t expecting to possibly lose pip until next year .

Hi @secretsquirrel1, it's not necessarily bad news that it's happened like that. Sometimes the texts come through at weird times or in a strange order. Some people find their reviews take months and others go through really fast. It can vary a lot from case to case.
Once you know the result you can start planning what comes next if you need to, but hopefully it's a positive one and you can put it out of your mind. Fingers crossed you get some confirmation soon.

My award was due to expire August 2026 but I received the forms April this year.
I had paper based and was awarded high rate both elements for 10 years.
The decision took about 5 months.
I didn't send much medical evidenendence as its not really about that but I sent a lot of extra sheets regarding how my disabilities impact my daily life and lack being able to function.

Thank you Rosie,
It’s taken me by surprise as there’s a backlog and my present award is up until next year . I can only hope it’s good news .

Hi luv pink,
It’s taken me by surprise as my awards not up until next year so I thought I wouldn’t hear back until a few months after that due to the backlogs. The first txt was 8am yesterday and second was today 8am . They must of made their decision yesterday after sending the first message. I just hope it’s a good sign 🙏
