I don't know if were allowed to promote other charities, so please remove if not allowed mods.
But it might be worth contacting NAS (National Autistic Society). They are more equipped for these things.
Hope you can find a better solution for her, routines can be hard. I don't know if it can be arranged in future to work with the school to try changing routines slightly before holidays actually come. like have 1 then 2 hours off in the afternoon from school etc building him up for it.
Its all about finding a new routine during holidays, It can throw us in meltdowns if our routine is suddenly gone. Building up to an event if you prepare us for it, say slightly change routine over time not suddenly. It should be alot easier.
Hope that site helps, take care.

Hi,
PIP is for people over 16. Perhaps it's DLA that he gets at 12?
The mobility payment is the same on both, £77 a week. High rate care is £110 a week though, so the Motability car shouldn't be taking even half of the total DLA/PIP, let alone most of it. Unless he is on the low rate for that? If he is on the low rate then I would say that should be challenged for longer term financial increase.
If the mother is on Universal Credit then she should apply for the Disabled Child Element if not already getting that.
Not sure I can offer any practical advice unfortunately. If they have some storage space then buying nappies in larger bulk orders should make those cheaper per item. Asking local charities or disability advice services for any help replacing the pram would be a good idea if not done already.

Hi @jjdd70
You're a very kind person for stopping and checking on her and I'm sure it meant a lot to Jodie!
There are a few organisations that might be able to help with a new buggy such as Family Fund, Newlife the Charity, Caudwell Children and Whizz Kids. They offer all offer grants for things like specialist prams and essential equipment.
If her son is over 4 then she might be able to get free nappies through the NHS continence service depending on where she lives so it's definitely worth her asking her GP or health visitor for a referral if they have this in her area!☺️0
