I'm Frankie, former senior brand project manager at Scope. I'm back again to say hello, and to catch up on all the amazing work Scope is doing to create change.

I'm newly diagnosed with osteoarthritis and hip dysplasia, and so now officially disabled. Awaiting blue badge, talking to PIP on Tuesday.

I'm now leading another brand refresh, this time at St John Ambulance (apparently this is my thing now — and I love it!). My time at Scope had a lasting impact on me: it turned me into a passionate advocate for disabled people. I’ll always be proud to have been part of that brand journey. 💜

It’s inspiring to hear how your work at Scope shaped your passion for advocating for disabled people. I’m sorry to hear about your osteoarthritis and hip dysplasia, but I’m glad you're here. If you don’t mind me asking, now that you’re navigating disability yourself, do you feel it’s offering you any new insights or perspectives on your work? I imagine that living with it brings a different level of understanding.

I was talking recently to a healthcare professional who shared how her perspective on patient care completely shifted after her own diagnosis. It really made me think about how personal experiences can deepen our understanding in ways we might not expect.
