Hi @KFLYNN and a warm welcome to the community from me!
What are you waiting for if you don't mind me asking?
It's lovely to have you here and I hope you enjoy your time on the community😊0 -

Heya @KFLYNN and it's a warm welcome to the community from me too!
I see you've commented on a different discussion regarding your PIP? Unfortunately that post is from early 2024, so I doubt the OP will be replying, so I thought it best to reply here, I hope that's ok?
You said you've had a text saying they're reviewing your claim, don't worry this is perfectly normal and the start of the PIP journey. Usually what will happen next is they'll decide if you need an assessment or not, they'll contact you about this if they do.
If they decide they have enough info, they'll do a paper assessment on you, meaning they don't need to contact you. All in all, this should hopefully only take about 12 weeks to do.1 -

thank you for your reply I’m just not coping very well with it all tbh.

Have you filled in your new claims form and are waiting for an assessment? Or are you waiting for a decision after a recent assessment?

Sorry late getting back to you Mary it’s my first time claiming.

After an assessment, you should hear back within 2-12 weeks. It will be backdated, if awarded, to the date you made a claim. I know this time is stressful but please don't worry.

Ah I see, thank you for your reply. it's very understandable why you're feeling stressed. Waiting for a decision can feel very overwhelming itself!
Like bg844 said above you should hear back with 2-12 so fingers crossed you won't have to wait much longer!
I know it can be easier said than done but please just take things one day at a time and try to be kind to yourself while you wait and hopefully you will get the outcome you're expecting☺️0
