A little confused, support group decision

Hi
I'm a little confused about my claim and I'm struggling to figure out how much back pay I'm owed. Today (16th September) I've been awarded LWRCA for universal credit and in the support group for new style esa. My UC AP is 17th-16th with me being paid on the 23rd of each month. My claim started in December 16th 2024 but I didn't report a change to my health condition until April 14th 2025. Since then I've provided continous fit notes and had no breaks in claim etc.
So, my question is will I get the new rate of UC from this month's payment (23rd september) as today is the last day of my AP for september and will that include the backpay? When does the LWRCA kick in from? Would it be from August?
Thanks in advance for anyone's help!

Even though you've received the decision, UC still need to process everything so putting LCWRA into payment and calculating backpay.
So you might not get LCWRA on your next statement.
Backpay is calculated separately and this usually takes several weeks at least.
You'll know when this has been done as a letter will be added to your Journal stating the amount owed due to underpayment. The money will then be paid within a few working days.
LCWRA has a waiting period of three full assessment periods before LCWRA is paid. No money is paid or subsequently owed for that period.

Thanks for replying so quickly! I reported the health change and uploaded the fit note on the same date, 14th April and they accepted it the next day

Just to check, do you have any Transitional Protection on your claim, or claim with a partner who gets LCWRA themselves?

No transitional protection and a single person's claim over 25

Based on the information given, my estimate of your waiting period would be:
March/April: Partial Assessment Period not counted for waiting period
April/May: AP 1
May/June: AP 2
June/July: AP 3
July August: Eligible for LCWRA element
August 23rd: First LCWRA element paid.
Up until today one month LCWRA element is owed.
If it is missing from your next statement, two months would be owed.

Welcome to the club as far as I can see it's a test to see how much you can take from them without helping you one single bit they moved me from ESA income related to UC saying that ESA was ending that's a surprise as they told me when I was moved to ESA from incapability 13 years ago and that's sill going so they told me I was going to uc and could not have the new esa but surprise surprise the next minute I'm getting the new esa plus uc so I asked if I could be paid every 2 weeks so you would think that was sorted out but no the first and second was paid every 2 weeks then the next was 17 days and then 14 days and every time since it's like a pick and mix and if you call them you get the same old story put it in your report and then you get the same answer look at your statement never answer your question it's just a waste of time even asking them anything as they are not interested.

It's not possible to be paid UC fortnightly.
The option is twice a month which as you've found is different.
