🟢 Help Shape the Future of Neurological Care

We know that cerebral palsy isn’t just a childhood condition – it affects people right across their lives. That’s why it’s so important that your voice is heard as the NHS develops its new 10-year plan for health and care.

NICE (National Institute for Health and Care Excellence) recommends that adults with cerebral palsy should have an annual review with a healthcare professional who understands neurodisability. You can read more here: NICE Guidance NG119. While these guidelines represent best practice, they aren’t mandatory – which makes it even more vital that we and the people who support us speak up to make sure services reflect what’s really needed.

There are already some programmes working to improve neurological care, such as Getting It Right First Time (GIRFT) and the Neurology Transformation Programme (NTP). These aim to make care more consistent, accessible, and closer to home. But now, with the NHS 10-year plan, there’s a real chance to go further and design services that truly work for people with cerebral palsy across England.

👉 This is where you come in.
The NHS wants to hear from you – your experiences, your ideas, and what you feel isn’t working well. Whether it’s access to specialists, support in adulthood, equipment, or care in the community, your insights can shape how services look for the next decade.

You can get involved now by visiting change.nhs.uk and sharing your thoughts.

💬 Your voice matters. By speaking up, you can help make sure that cerebral palsy is properly understood and prioritised – so that everyone can get the right support at the right time, and live healthy, fulfilling lives.
